Stranraer have signed one of the players that helped deny them promotion from the Third Division with a stunning goal in a Play-Off match.
Striker Robert Love netted a fierce volley as Albion Rovers beat the Blues 3-1 to tie their Play-Off Final before the Coatbridge men won on penalties and he has turned down the chance of another season in the Second Division to sign for Keith Knox’s men.
The 23-year-old, who has also played for Stenhousemuir has scored over 20 times since joining the Rovers in 2010 and Stranraer boss Knox is delighted to get his man despite his feats against his side.
Knox said, “I am sure that Robert will be a tremendous asset to our squad. His ability to play through the middle as a striker or attack from wide positions gives us attacking options to explore.”
Knox has released four of the players from his squad that finished third in the table with Stuart McColm, John Kane, Nathan Shepherd leaves and Angus Cochrane are all leaving the club.
