Stranraer have moved quickly to tie midfield playmaker Andy Stirling to the club until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old former St. Mirren, Stenhousemuir and East Stirlingshire player returned from College football in the USA in the summer to sign for the Blues.
That deal only ran until January and Stirling was attracting interest from elsewhere but Manager Stephen Aitken has ensured the player will remain at Stair Park.
He said: “Andy has been terrific for us and, rather than wait until his deal was nearly done, we rewarded him now with a longer deal. His form was quite rightly picked up on by other clubs but we were determined that he would stay here.”
