Sweeney to leave Clyde

Clyde captain John Sweeney and utility player Pat Scullion are leaving the club.

Clyde captain John Sweeney and utility player Pat Scullion are leaving the club.

A statement on the League 2 side's website read: "The club can confirm that John Sweeney will be leaving Clyde by mutual consent, following his request for a contract termination. Pat Scullion will also be moving on, following a mutual termination of his contract.

"Both men leave with the club's thanks for their efforts and best wishes for the future."

Sweeney joined Clyde in 2010 and made more than 150 appearances for the Bully Wee while Scullion, who was signed in 2011, racked up a century of games.
