Rangers defender James Tavernier has been voted Ladbrokes Championship Player of the Month for August after an outstanding start to his Ibrox career.
The 23-year-old right-back, who joined the club from Wigan Athletic, turned in a number of excellent performances and scored the only goal in the 1-0 win over Hibernian at Ibrox with a stunning free-kick.
Tavernier, whose previous clubs include Newcastle and Bristol City, was also on target in the 5-1 victory at Alloa as Mark Warburton's side notched up four league wins out of four.
The Ladbrokes monthly awards are voted for by members of the Scottish media, with a Manager and a Player of the Month selected for each of the four divisions.
