St Johnstone have the chance to climb to third in the Ladbrokes Premiership when they play Dundee at McDiarmid on Friday night.
The Tayside derby is live on BT Sport with a 7.45pm kick-off and Saints go into the game seeking a fifth straight league win.
That would take them above Aberdeen - who host Ross County on Saturday - on goal difference but Dundee won 2-1 when the sides met at Dens Park in August.
St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright said: "Victory would put us eight points ahead of Dundee, which is good at this stage, but we keep reminding ourselves that last year Dundee United were 16 or 18 points ahead and we managed to pip them.
"We could get into third place with a win, maybe for only 24 hours, but we could do it. That's an incentive and also it's a derby and derby games are a wee bit special."
