Arbroath cinch League One

Team of the Week

Craig Fowler selects his SPFL Team of the Week, with Arbroath hat-trick hero Bobby Linn the star man...

GK - Jamie Sneddon (Partick Thistle)
The keeper had to make a couple of important early saves as Partick Thistle picked up their first win since late September with a 2-0 triumph over Dunfermline Athletic. That result lifted them out of the relegation places.

DC - Genseric Kusunga (Dundee)
Despite being down to 10 men for the majority of the match, and conceding an equaliser seconds after the red card, Dundee held on for a share of the spoils against Rangers. That was thanks to a heroic defensive performance from their back-line, who repelled a plethora of attacking crosses and threw themselves in front of any scoring opportunity.

DC - Joe Shaughnessy (St Johnstone)
The centre-back netted the opening goal and helped his side keep a clean sheet with a stellar showing as Saints left Pittodrie with all three points thanks to a 2-0 win over Aberdeen.

DC - Conrad Balatoni (Edinburgh City)
Another goalscoring centre-back, this time Conrad Balatoni who scored at one end and put in a powerful shift at the other to help keep City top of the Ladbrokes League 2 table following Saturday's 2-1 win at Annan Athletic.

MR - James Forrest (Celtic)
For the second time this season Celtic took on an upstart title contender at Parkhead and blew them away. Previously it was Hearts and this time it was Steve Clarke's Kilmarnock on the receiving end, going down 5-1 with Forrest, surely a leading contender for Player of the Year at this point, grabbing a double.

MC - Paul Watson (Montrose)
The midfielder excelled with some robust tackling and some terrific weighted passes as Montrose beat Raith Rovers 3-2 at Links Park to move into the top four in League 1.

MC - Jack Leitch (Peterhead)
Leitch claimed a goal and an assist as Peterhead saw off Berwick Rangers with ease, winning 5-0 away from home and keeping up the pressure on Edinburgh City ahead of tonight's top-of-the-table clash at Ainslie Park.

ML - Arnaud Djoum (Heart of Midlothian)
In a match low on quality it was the Cameroon midfielder who stood out as Hearts ended their winless run with a 1-0 victory over Motherwell at Tynecastle.

AMR - Bobby Linn (Arbroath)
Arbroath won for the 13th time in 16 matches to go 13 points clear of Raith Rovers at the top of Ladbrokes League 1. Linn grabbed all three goals in the 3-2 victory at Forfar and is this week's star man.

FC - Alan Trouten (Alloa Athletic)
Alloa showed their fighting spirit as they came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Falkirk in a big match in the Ladbrokes Championship relegation dogfight. Trouten notched both goals for the visitors, who remain above their hosts on goal difference.

AML - Shane Sutherland (Elgin City)
In-form Sutherland and Brian Cameron both notched doubles as the home side beat bottom-placed Albion Rovers 4-2 to move into the play-offs.
