GK - Calum Antell (Edinburgh City)
The keeper made two excellent saves, including a brilliant acrobatic effort to deny Willie Gibson, during the first half of Edinburgh's 0-0 draw with Peterhead. It wasn't enough to help his side close the gap on the league leaders but they would have been beaten without his heroics.
DR - Jamie Hamill (Stranraer)
The veteran impressed on the right of a back four as Stranraer managed to survive having a man sent off on 45 minutes to hold league leaders Arbroath to a 0-0 draw in League 1.
DC - Dougie Hill (Brechin City)
Hill scored and put in a solid shift at centre-back as Brechin City went to promotion-chasers East Fife and came away with a 2-0 victory.
DC - Mick Dunlop (Peterhead)
SPFL leading goalscorer Blair Henderson was kept relatively quiet during the table-topping encounter at Ainslie Park and that was in no small part to the experienced stopper.
DL - Jamie Robson (Dundee United)
Operating at left midfield, Robson has discovered a new lease of life at Tannadice in the more attacking role and impressed in a tough 2-1 win over bottom side Alloa Athletic.
MRC - Scott Stewart (Airdrieonians)
Stewart threatened up and down the right flank in Airdrie's 3-4-3 formation as the Diamonds earned themselves three points with a 1-0 win over Forfar Athletic.
MC - Ray Grant (Clyde)
Despite losing their goalkeeper, then an equaliser, Clyde were still able to pull it out of the bag against Annan Athletic as Martin McNiff netted a 93rd-minute winner. Throughout the 2-1 triumph, Grant excellently protected the defence at the base of the 4-3-3 and was the stand-out player.
MLC - Michael Gardyne (Ross County)
It wasn't until the second half that Ross County really started playing against Connah's Quay Nomads in the IRN-BRU Cup final. Sub Josh Mullin was a key player in the 3-1 win but club legend Gardyne gets the nod for his performance throughout the 90 minutes.
FR - Kevin Nisbet (Raith Rovers)
Raith notched up a comfortable victory with a 4-1 win over a Dumbarton side that had been in good form going into the game. Nisbet bagged himself a double at Stark’s Park.
FC - Declan Byrne (Albion Rovers)
Rovers took Berwick’s surprise midweek win over Peterhead in their stride, going to Elgin, winning 2-0 and once again moving to within two points of safety at the bottom of Ladbrokes League 2. Byrne scored both goals and, because of their significance, earns himself star man honours.
FL - Aaron Doran (Inverness CT)
The Irish winger shone in the Friday night football as Inverness CT and Partick Thistle lit up the second half at Firhill, where John Robertson’s men earned a 2-1 win.
