Heart of Midlothian Falkirk cinch Premiership

Team of the Week

A View From the Terrace's Craig Fowler selects his SPFL Team of the Week, with Hearts' Michael Smith the star man...

GK - Marc McCallum (Forfar Athletic)
Though Forfar lost 2-1 to Livingston in the Betfred Cup, their keeper still deserves to go into this team for preventing a bigger defeat with his heroics in goal.

DR - Michael Smith (Hearts)
The right-back scored a belter of a goal, helped set up another and put in a strong defensive showing as Hearts bucked recent form to defeat Motherwell on Friday night and move into the last eight of the Betfred Cup. He is this week's star man.

DC - Sean McGinty (Partick Thistle)
After a difficult first season, the Thistle defender is growing into himself at the club and was excellent as the Jags defeated Ross County in the lone upset of the round, winning 3-2 after extra-time.

DC - Conrad Balatoni (Edinburgh City)
A very solid showing from Balatoni in the centre of defence helped the hosts close out a 1-0 win over Stirling Albion at Ainslie Park in Ladbrokes League 2.

DL - Lewis Martin (Dunfermline Athletic)
The second player in this side to earn a place despite being on the losing team. Dunfermline held holders and 'treble treble' winners Celtic to a 1-1 draw in normal time at Parkhead before going down to a deflected James Forrest winner. It was an incredible defensive showing from the visitors with Martin standing out more than most.

MRC - Craig Thomson (Airdrieonians)
The right-midfielder was a terror throughout the second half as Airdrie came back from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Clyde 3-1 in their Ladbrokes League 1 encounter.

MC - Declan Glass (Cove Rangers)
Cove kept up their strong start to life in the SPFL with a 3-2 win over Cowdenbeath. On-loan Dundee United midfielder Glass, who is fond of a decent strike, netted twice in the victory.

MLC - PJ Crossan (Dumbarton)
Crossan's play on the left wing was a key factor in Dumbarton managing to pick themselves off the canvas in their game at Peterhead. Jim Duffy's side were 2-0 down and looked set to slump to another defeat before they came roaring back. Crossan netted the equaliser before Isaac Layne bagged a late winner.

FC - Cameron Elliott (Stranraer)
The youngster had an assist for the opener then netted the winning goal as Stranraer led Raith Rovers, went 2-1 down, but still found a way to win with two goals in the last seven minutes.

FC - Florian Kamberi (Hibernian)
Two goals for the striker who was in a hungry mood during Hibs' 5-3 extra-time victory over Greenock Morton in the Betfred Cup at Easter Road.

FC - Conor Sammon (Falkirk)
Falkirk came from behind to defeat Montrose in Ladbrokes League 1 thanks, in a large part, to the former Hearts striker who bagged both goals in a 2-1 win.
