Team of the Week

A View From the Terrace's Craig Fowler selects his Team of the Week, with SPFL top scorer Lawrence Shankland the star man...

GK - David Mitchell (Clyde)
The goalkeeper impressed with the manner in which he dealt with a barrage of Falkirk crosses and also pulled off an excellent save in the last minute to preserve Clyde's 1-0 victory over their full-time visitors in Ladbrokes League 1.

DRC - Kristoffer Ajer (Celtic)
Celtic remain at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership after a 3-1 victory over Hearts on Sunday. Ajer was given a lot of room to roam from right-back and, even though it's not his natural position, he excelled for the reigning champions.

DC - Jon Guthrie (Livingston)
The centre-back scored and put in a solid defensive showing as Livingston stunned Ross County with a 4-1 victory in Dingwall.

DLC - Chris Higgins (East Fife)
Another 4-1 victor, this time in League 1 as East Fife overwhelmed Airdrieonians at the Locality Hub Bayview Stadium. Several home players impressed, but we've plumped for the experienced campaigner at the back.

MR - Bobby Linn (Arbroath)
The elusive winger played on the left at the Indodrill Stadium but we've switched him over to the right here to enable the inclusion of another star performer. Anyway, Linn netted the winning goal and generally terrorised the defence during Arbroath's 1-0 win at fellow part-timers Alloa Athletic.

MC - Simon Ferry (Peterhead)
The host of Open Goal videos and podcasts put in a vintage Ferry performance as Peterhead defeated Forfar Athletic 1-0 on Saturday. The midfielder helped control the match for the hosts with his passing as Jim McInally's side bounced back from last weekend's defeat to Dumbarton.

MC - Marc Laird (Edinburgh City)
The midfielder scored and stood out throughout the match as City came from a goal behind at Stenhousemuir to win 3-1. Edinburgh have now won three straight since their opening-day humbling at Cove and sit just a point off the top of the Ladbrokes League 2 table.

ML - Nicky Cadden (Greenock Morton)
Morton pulled off an incredible eight-minute turnaround on Friday night, going from two goals down to win 3-2 against Partick Thistle in front of the TV cameras. As well as grabbing their first goal from a free-kick, Cadden was a menace throughout proceedings.

FC - Christopher Long (Motherwell)
Motherwell got themselves their first victory in August with a convincing 3-1 triumph at rivals Hamilton Accies. Long netted and led the line confidently throughout the match.

FC - Lawrence Shankland (Dundee United)
Two goals for Shankland, who has now scored an incredible seven in three league games, were enough for United to defeat Dunfermline. Aside from the double, he had two other chances to score and even missed a penalty. A box-office performance and this week’s star man!

FC - Isaac Layne (Dumbarton)
The striker bullied Stranraer throughout the match at The Rock, scoring twice and setting up the other as Dumbarton came from a goal down to defeat their visitors 3-1.
