Team of the Week

A View From the Terrace's Craig Fowler selects his latest SPFL Team of the Week, with Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard the star man...

GK - PJ Morrison (Cowdenbeath)
The youngster joined the Blue Brazil on a seven-day emergency loan from Motherwell, was thrust into team because of injury and kept a clean sheet as Gary Bollan's side continued their fine start to the Ladbrokes League 2 campaign with a 3-0 win over Queen's Park at Hampden.

DC - Keith Watson (Ross County)
County came back from a goal down late in the game to take all three points from their trip to Motherwell. While Brian Graham's substitution undoubtedly influenced the Staggies in attack, it was Watson keeping things tight at the back which helped keep them in position to perform the unlikely turnaround.

DC - Steven Anderson (Raith Rovers)
The veteran has transformed the Rovers’ defence since signing three weeks ago as John McGlynn's previously leaky side kept their third consecutive clean sheet. This time it enabled them to secure a 1-0 win at Airdrieonians, taking them to the top of Ladbrokes League 1.

DC - Peter Grant (Greenock Morton)
Dundee's below-par start to the new season continued with a 1-0 defeat at Greenock Morton. The visitors, despite all their supposed firepower, couldn't find a way past the hosts. The Ton were led by an inspired performance from Grant, who also scored the only goal.

MR - Ryan Dow (Dunfermline Athletic)
Dow was in tremendous form as Dunfermline went to Partick Thistle for a battle of two clubs struggling at the bottom of the Ladbrokes Championship table and came away with all three points. The winger even netted the second goal in the 3-0 success.

MC - Ryan Jack (Rangers)
Another terrific performance from the in-form midfielder helped Rangers thump St Johnstone in the second half of their clash in Perth on Sunday, turning a 0-0 half-time stalemate into a 4-0 triumph for Steven Gerrard's men.

MC - Morgaro Gomis (Falkirk)
Gomis impressed in the centre of the park during Falkirk's 3-0 win at Stranraer; so did Charlie Telfer. Gomis netted for Ray McKinnon's side in the away victory; so did Charlie Telfer. Gomis scored a terrific long-range goal that sailed into the top corner and soon became a GIF on social media; Charlie Telfer did not. Gomis gets the nod.

ML - Aaron Hickey (Heart of Midlothian)
It's fair to say that Aaron Hickey's first Edinburgh derby will be a match he'll never forget. The 17-year-old impressed on both flanks at Easter Road and scored the winning goal with just six minutes remaining.

FC - Odsonne Edouard (Celtic)
Edouard led the line superbly at Celtic Park as the champions overcome an early scare in the form of an Eamonn Brophy opener to continue their 100% start to the Premiership season. The Frenchman netted a brace to help his side to the 3-1 win and is this week's star man.

FC - Michael Moffat (Ayr United)
He didn't get on the scoresheet in Ayr's 4-1 win at Alloa, but anyone who was at the game would tell you the forward was easily the best player on the park as the Honest Men continued their strong start to the new season to remain level on points with Championship leaders Dundee United.

FC - Lawrence Shankland (Dundee United)
United were heading for a humbling home defeat at the hands of Arbroath before Shankland bailed them out. The striker netted twice in the final few minutes, taking his tally of league goals to 10 (reminder: it's only September) and keeping Robbie Neilson's men top of the Ladbrokes Championship.
