Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View From the Terrace selects his latest SPFL Team of the Week, with SPFL top scorer Lawrence Shankland the star man...

GK - Mark Gillespie (Motherwell)
The goalkeeper made three great saves, including a penalty denial of Scott Tanser, as Motherwell got back to winning ways with a 1-0 triumph at St Johnstone.

DC - Tom Grivosti (Ross County)
The young defender stepped into the back four in place of Liam Fontaine and looked perfectly at home as County went to Kilmarnock and left with a point thanks to their clean sheet.

DC - Paul Hanlon (Hibernian)
Hanlon impressed at the heart of the Hibs defence as Paul Heckingbottom's men earned an important point and ended Celtic's 100% start to the season with a 1-1 draw at Easter Road.

DC - Scott Rumsby (Clyde)
The Clyde centre-back dominated his battle against Isaac Layne as the visitors came from a goal down to take all three points from their trip to Dumbarton in Ladbrokes League 1.

MR - Stuart Bannigan (Partick Thistle)
Thistle earned three points from their first league game with Ian McCall in charge, going to Inverness and impressively winning 3-1. It was Bannigan who was the real star of the show, running things in the centre of the park and heavily contributing to the victory.

MC - Alex Gogic (Hamilton Accies)
Accies battled back from an early deficit to defeat Livingston 2-1 in Lanarkshire with Gogic impressing in the centre of the park. The converted defender dominated with his physicality.

MC - Ryan Christie (Celtic)
Neil Lennon's men may have seen their lead at the top cut to a point at the weekend, but Christie once again shone in the midfield area against Hibernian. The Scotland international equalised with an excellent header.

ML - Andrew Stirling (Stranraer)
The attacking midfielder was in scintillating form in a tremendous game at Airdrie as the visitors raced into a 2-0 lead but ultimately had to hang on for a point.

FC - Alan Forrest (Ayr United)
Two goals for the Ayr attacker helped keep up his and his team's excellent start to the season as the managerless Honest Men won 3-0 at Arbroath to stay level on points with Ladbrokes Championship leaders Dundee United.

FC - Alfredo Morelos (Rangers)
Aberdeen had no answer to the Colombian or his attacking team-mates as Rangers ripped apart their rivals at Ibrox, winning 5-0 and creating several other chances. Morelos netted once and won the penalty for another in the victory.

FC - Lawrence Shankland (Dundee United)
Once again, he is this week's star man. What's better than a 5-0 win? Well, it must be a 6-0 victory. That was the punishment meted out by United to visitors Morton, with Shankland netting a hat-trick. He's now scored an incredible 13 goals in seven Championship games to start the season and has earned a call-up to the Scotland squad.
