Aberdeen cinch Premiership

Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View From the Terrace names his Team of the Week, with Aberdeen midfielder Ross McCrorie the star man...

GK - Vasilis Barkas (Celtic)
The Greek goalkeeper hasn't been granted too many opportunities to showcase his talents since arriving at Celtic Park but he proved his worth in the 5-0 win over Ross County, making a couple of key stops while the game was still in the balance at 2-0.

DC - Paul McGinn (Hibernian)
Another impressive performance from the defender, including a lung-bursting run up the wing and cross for Kevin Nisbet to open the scoring in Hibs' 3-0 victory at St Mirren.

DC - Shane Duffy (Celtic)
Celtic got themselves a new centre-back a couple of weeks ago and, if Saturday's indications are anything to go by, they nabbed themselves a good one. Duffy was both solid in defence and netted the third goal against Ross County to put the game beyond doubt.

DC - Tommie Hoban (Aberdeen)
The former Watford defender continued his excellent start to the season, starring alongside Scott McKenna and Andy Considine as Aberdeen's back three notched up another clean sheet in their 1-0 win over Kilmarnock.

MR - Steven Davis (Rangers)
The centre-midfielder (we needed to fit him in somewhere) was the stand-out in a team full of stand-outs as Premiership leaders Rangers thumped Dundee United 4-0 at Ibrox.

MC - Allan Campbell (Motherwell)
Motherwell secured a much-needed 1-0 win against St Johnstone, their first of the league campaign. They did so thanks to three things: Allan Campbell's excellent goal, Allan Campbell's general play and Bevis Mugabi (who was very unfortunate to just miss out on a place in this team).

MC - Ross McCrorie (Aberdeen)
What a signing the former Rangers youngster is proving to be! McCrorie was excellent again in the centre of the park, where his relentless energy is such a vital component of Derek McInnes' side. He also scored the only goal against Killie with a beautifully-taken finish. He is this week's star man.

ML - Joe Newell (Hibernian)
It shows the quality of performance that Martin Boyle - a goal, an assist and generally great showing against St Mirren - isn't included in Team of the Week. There is a spot, though, for the best player in green-and-white on Saturday. Newell's range of passing and enthusiasm for getting forward to support the attack hugely benefited Hibs in their win at St Mirren. The midfielder also swept in the second goal.

FR - David Templeton (Hamilton)
A goal and an assist from Templeton, who was undoubtedly Accies' best player throughout, helped Brian Rice's men come back from a goal down to defeat Livingston 2-1 at the Tony Macaroni Arena thanks to a late winner from teenager Kyle Munro.

FC - Odsonne Edouard (Celtic)
The Frenchman returned to the starting XI after missing two matches before the international break and it didn't take long for him to make an impact. There were less than four minutes on the clock when he won a penalty, which he converted to send Celtic on the way to a 5-0 victory at Ross County.

FL - Ryan Kent (Rangers)
The August Player of the Month continued his lightning start to the season against Dundee United, scoring inside the opening 15 minutes and generally being a menace throughout the game as Rangers maintained their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
