Team of the Week

CRAIG FOWLER FROM A VIEW FROM THE TERRACE NAMES HIS SPFL TEAM OF THE WEEK, WITH HAT-TRICK HERO CALLUM SMITH THE STAR MAN!

GK - Greg Fleming (Annan Athletic)
Annan will be playing in the League 1 play-off final after surviving a second-leg charge from Forfar Athletic and securing passage thanks to a late Tony Wallace penalty which gave the Galabankies a 2-1 aggregate win. They wouldn't have been in the position, however, if not for some fine goalkeeping from Fleming as Forfar turned up the first-half pressure.

DEF - Stephen O’Donnell (Motherwell)
The Motherwell captain put in a big performance in his side's most important fixture of the campaign to date. Graham Alexander's men won 1-0 at Ross County to go above their hosts into fifth place and the final European spot.

DEF - Leon King (Rangers)
The young defender was the stand-out performer as the Europa League finalists delayed Celtic's title party by another week with a 2-0 triumph over Dundee United on Sunday afternoon.

DEF - Peter Grant (Queen’s Park)
Simon Murray's late goal lifted Queen's Park past Dunfermline and into the Championship play-off final with a 1-0 win at East End Park. But while the striker grabbed the headlines, it was a resolute defensive performance to gain two clean sheets in consecutive legs which played the biggest part in the Spiders' qualification.

DEF - Harry Clarke (Hibernian)
Hibs drew 1-1 against Aberdeen on Saturday as two frustrated clubs played out a dead rubber at Easter Road. Clarke has impressed since recovering from injury after his January signing and supporters are hoping he remains at the club in the summer.

MID - Shane Sutherland (Inverness CT)
The attacker was both man-of-the-match and creator of the winning goal as Inverness CT finished off Partick Thistle on Tuesday evening. Caley notched a 1-0 win to add to their 2-1 first-leg triumph to make it to the play-off semis at the expense of the Maryhill Jags.

MID - Scott Pittman (Livingston)
The midfielder was his side's star player as the Lions fought back to earn a late point against St Johnstone at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

MID - Matt O’Riley (Celtic)
Ange Postecoglou's side saw off Hearts 4-1 at Celtic Park to all but wrap up the cinch Premiership title. O'Riley was the shining light in the centre of the park, including getting his name on the scoresheet.

MID - Callum Smith (Airdrieonians)
This week's star man comes from one of the most dramatic games in recent Scottish football history as Airdrie rebounded from a 4-1 aggregate deficit with 21 minutes remaining to defeat Montrose in the cinch Championship play-off semi-final after extra-time. Smith notched the first three of his side's goals en route to a 6-4 win on the day. Astonishing stuff.

FWD - Curtis Main (St Mirren)
It's two wins in as many games for the previously embattled Saints, who defeated Dundee 2-0 in Paisley, all but sealing the Dens Park side's relegation from the top flight. Main scored the second and was a handful throughout.

FWD - Ryan Shanley (Edinburgh City)
Shanley's second-half goal ensured there'd be no further play-off dramatics when the Sons hosted City on Saturday afternoon looking to overturn a 4-1 first-leg deficit. Alan Maybury's side advanced 5-2 on aggregate and will meet Annan for a place in next season's cinch League 1.
