Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View From the Terrace names his SPFL Team of the Week, with Celtic's Liel Abada the star man

GK - Carljohan Eriksson (Dundee United)
The Finnish shot-stopper was a big reason Dundee United were able to leave Fir Park with a point on Saturday despite having their goal bombarded by the hosts. Poor finishing was a part, but Eriksson was still forced into action several times, including saving a first-half penalty.

DEF - Alex Mitchell (St Johnstone)
The young loanee from Millwall has impressed at the centre of the back three and that continued this weekend with an excellent showing in his side's 3-0 win over St Mirren in the cinch Premiership.

DEF - Danny Devine (Inverness CT)
The Caley Jags rebounded from three consecutive defeats with a big victory away to Raith Rovers in the cinch Championship. Devine excelled at the back in the 2-0 triumph.

DEF - Alex Iacovitti (Ross County)
A big performance from the robust defender helped County to remain in the game against Aberdeen right up to the closing seconds when William Akio snatched a point following Luis Lopes' 88th-minute opener.

MID - Liel Abada (Celtic)
For the second weekend in succession the star man comes from Celtic Park and, for the second week in succession, Abada earns the honour. The 20-year-old Israeli followed his hat-trick against Dundee United with a brace, including the all-important opener, in the 4-0 thrashing of Old Firm rivals Rangers to maintain the Hoops' 100% start.

MID - Cole McKinnon (Partick Thistle)
The Rangers loanee added the decisive second goal to a stand-out performance in Partick Thistle's 2-0 win at Arbroath, who were hamstrung by the red card shown to Scott Allan five minutes into the second half at Gayfield.

MID - James Craigen (FC Edinburgh)
Perhaps the most eyebrow-raising result last weekend belonged to FC Edinburgh as they went to Airdrie and won 6-0. A red card did have a part to play, but it was a terrific performance from Alan Maybury's men. Craigen netted a brace alongside team-mate John Robertson. Seeing as it's more impressive for a midfielder to do that than a forward, we've opted for the former.

MID - Joe Newell (Hibernian)
Newell had his best game in a Hibs jersey this season to help the home side to a 1-0 victory over 10-man Kilmarnock despite the absence of manager Lee Johnson, who was recovering from surgery. The English midfielder even netted the game's only goal.

MID - Kallum Higginbotham (Kelty Hearts)
Kelty got their first victory of the cinch League 1 season with a shock 2-0 win over promotion-chasing Falkirk. 'Higgy' didn't get on the scoresheet but was outstanding in the victory.

FWD - Zach Robinson (Dundee)
Two goals from the forward helped Dundee bounce back from the previous week's defeat at Ayr United with a comfortable 3-0 home win against Queen's Park in the cinch Championship.

FWD - Tommy Goss (Annan Athletic)
Annan got just their second league victory of the season with a 2-1 win over Forfar Athletic, who have slipped to the foot of the table. Goss grabbed both goals in the victory at Galabank.
