Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View from the Terrace names his cinch SPFL XI after the weekend's games...

GK - Jay Hogarth (Dumbarton)

Dumbarton got back to winning ways in cinch League 2 after four games without a victory, beating Stranraer 2-1 at the Rock. It was an improved showing from the home side but they were still reliant on their keeper making some very good saves to ensure victory.

DEF - Miller Thomson (Dundee United)

The youngster and attacking midfielder acquitted himself very well in the unusual position of full-back this past weekend as Dundee United came from behind to defeat Queen's Park 3-1 at Tannadice.

DEF - Stuart Findlay (Kilmarnock)

Though he had stiff competition from Matty Kennedy, Findlay was the man of the match from Killie's 2-0 victory over Aberdeen in the cinch Premiership as he and Lewis Mayo completely nullified the threat of Bojan Miovski.

DEF - Paul McLean (Stirling Albion)

Two weeks in succession we've got a lower-league centre-back scoring a double. This time it was Stirling's veteran defender as he found the net twice and helped his side keep a clean sheet in their 4-0 win over Edinburgh City.

DEF - Ridvan Yilmaz (Rangers)

The full-back's directness and running ability down the left was a huge asset for Rangers as they blew Hearts away at Ibrox in a thumping 5-0 win.

MID - Ewan Otoo (Dunfermline Athletic)

Dunfermline got themselves a huge result in the cinch Championship by coming from a goal down to defeat Partick Thistle 3-1 on Friday night. While Matty Todd earned the headlines with a terrific goal, Otoo was the stand-out player in the middle of the park for James McPake's side.

MID - Kurtis Roberts (Alloa Athletic)

Alloa are now just seven points off second place in the cinch League 1 table after defeating Hamilton Accies 2-1 at New Douglas Park. Roberts, who has been in excellent form lately, netted Alloa's first in another strong showing.

MID - Myziane Maolida (Hibs)

Emiliano Marcondes may have been the signing to catch the eye at Easter Road in the January window, but with three goals in five league games it is another new arrival, Maolida who is getting fans off their seats. The on-loan Hertha Berlin attacker ran the show against Dundee, scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 triumph.

FWD - Simon Murray (Ross County)

While team-mate Eamonn Brophy found the net twice, Murray was the man feeding his forward with two assists and put in a terrific showing as Ross County beat Livingston 3-2 in Dingwall in a crucial clash at the foot of the cinch Premiership.

FWD - Adam Idah (Celtic)

The Norwich City loanee rose from the bench at half-time to completely transform Celtic's fortunes away to Motherwell on Sunday afternoon, meaning Brendan Rodgers' side kept close to leaders Rangers in the cinch Premiership title race. The striker scored twice and was the focal point in attack that the Hoops were crying out for.

FWD - Jordan Allan (Clyde)

In a weekend of great performances, perhaps the best came from Clyde as they gained a historic 6-1 win away to Stenhousemuir. Never before in Scottish league history has a team bottom of a table defeated the league leaders by a five-goal margin. Allan scored twice and created one as the Bully Wee dominated at Ochilview, earning Allan this week's Star Man title.
