Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View from the Terrace names his cinch SPFL XI after the weekend's games...

GK - Shamal George (Livingston)

Livingston defeated St Johnstone 2-1 at the weekend thanks to two late goals at Almondvale. Saints had the better of the opportunities throughout the contest and would have been out of sight if not for the heroics of George in goal.

DEF - Reghan Tumilty (Hamilton Accies)

A first-half equaliser and an excellent showing from the right-back helped Accies to reach the cinch Championship play-off final with a 3-2 second leg victory over Alloa Athletic, which resulted in a 5-4 aggregate advantage for John Rankin's men.

DEF - Morgan Boyes (Inverness CT)

Accies will meet Inverness in the final after the Highland club defeated Montrose 1-0 (and 1-0 on aggregate) in their second leg match-up. Boyes impressed at the back as Duncan Ferguson's side kept consecutive clean sheets against their Angus opponents.

DEF - Robbie Deas (Kilmarnock)

A dominant showing from the centre-back helped Kilmarnock secure fourth place and at least four games in European football next season with a 1-0 win over St Mirren in Paisley.

DEF - Gallagher Lennon (Dumbarton)

Dumbarton will face Spartans for a chance to win promotion to cinch League 1 next season after squeezing through 2-1 on aggregate against Stirling Albion following a 0-0 draw in the second leg of their semi. Lennon showed some excellent poise during the match and appears to be going from strength to strength with each passing week.

MID - Barrie McKay (Hearts)

Two assists amid a constantly threatening performance from the attacking midfielder, who has missed most of this season through injury, helped Hearts to defeat Dundee 3-0 on Saturday in the cinch Premiership.

MID - Leighton Clarkson (Aberdeen)

Aberdeen's late season hot streak continued with a 4-0 thumping of Hibernian with Clarkson opening the scoring and pulling the strings in this contest.

MID - Blair Spittal (Motherwell)

Another team finishing their season off with a bit of a flurry in the top flight are Motherwell, who followed up putting four goals past Livingston last weekend with sticking five beyond Ross County. Spittal got two in the contest, and an assist, to top off what's been a brilliant season from the playmaker.

FWD - Daizen Maeda (Celtic)

Celtic are on the verge of a 12th title in 13 years after defeating Rangers in Saturday's Old Firm derby, putting them six points clear with two games to play. Maeda created his team's second goal and worked tirelessly with his runs proving to be a major thorn in the side of the visitors as Celtic triumphed 2-1.

FWD - Blair Henderson (Spartans)

Spartans will meet Dumbarton in the cinch League One play-off final after thumping Peterhead 5-1 away from home in their second-leg contest. Henderson produced a big performance to grab a hat-trick and earned himself this week's Star Man prize.

FWD - Brian Graham (Partick Thistle)

As well as scoring the two goals which saw his side into the cinch Premiership play-off semi-final with Raith Rovers, Graham put in a power of work in Thistle 2-1 second-leg win over Airdrie (4-3 on aggregate), including getting back to help defend as the away side bombarded the box in the dying minutes.
