Good things come to those who wait. After staying patient for his chance, the Motherwell shot stopper has excelled since becoming the club’s number one. He was excellent in the 2-1 win over St. Mirren, pulling off a great save from Killian Phillips and a penalty save from Mark O’Hara.
DEF – Michael Hewitt (Queen of the South)
The impressive right-back scored and helped his side keep a clean sheet as Peter Murphy's side defeated Dumbarton 2-0 in William Hill League 1.
DEF – Sean McGinty (Hamilton Accies)
Accies secured their second win of the William Hill Championship campaign with a 1-0 triumph over Partick Thistle. McGinty was vital in the victory, getting the better of away striker Brian Graham in the aerial battle to help claim a clean sheet.
DEF – Erik Sula (Stirling Albion)
Not only did he get on the scoresheet, but Sula's aerial dominance was vital in Alan Maybury's side earning a 2-0 victory at Stranraer as they moved into fourth place in William Hill League 2.
DEF – Henry Fieldson (Queen’s Park)
The young defender continued to impress on the left side of defence as Queen's Park defeated Dunfermline Athletic 2-1 on the road.
MID – Topi Keskinen (Aberdeen)
Narrowly edging out team-mate Nicky Devlin, Keskinen provided a goal and an assist as Aberdeen defeated Dundee 2-1 at Dens Park to keep up their 100 per cent start to the 2024/25 season.
MID – Dylan Easton (Raith Rovers)
Raith Rovers brought Falkirk’s 43-game unbeaten league run to an end with a 1-0 win at Stark’s Park, with Easton producing an excellent display in the middle of the park.
MID – Fraser Taylor (Arbroath)
The on-loan St. Mirren midfielder made quite the introduction for Arbroath in their meeting with Cove Rangers. With the score tied at 2-2, Taylor ran rings around the home defence to set up two goals to give the Red Lichties a 4-2 triumph.
FWD – Connor Young (Edinburgh City)
This week's Star Man comes from William Hill League 2 as Edinburgh City returned with a 3-3 draw from their encounter with Elgin City. Young has started the season in terrific form and he kept that going with a double, including an injury-time equaliser for Michael McIndoe’s men.
FWD – Kyogo Furuhashi (Celtic)
Celtic romped to a 6-0 win over St. Johnstone on Saturday night with Kyogo netting twice as the reigning champions continued their incredible form.
FWD – Lewis Moore (Kelty Hearts)
A goal and a fine performance on the wing from Moore helped Kelty Hearts to return to winning ways in William Hill League 1 with a dominant 3-0 triumph over Annan Athletic.
