Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View from the Terrace names his SPFL XI...

GK – Shay Kelly (Dumbarton)

Dumbarton gained their first victory in three months thanks to Mark Durnan's injury-time goal against Alloa but it was fresh-faced shot stopper Kelly who was the real star. His command of his penalty area and kicking ability helped the Sons to a well-earned triumph.

DEF – Ross Graham (Dundee United)

Scorer of the winning goal and man of the match as Dundee United took a huge step towards the William Hill Premiership top six. Graham was in fine form in Dingwall as Jim Goodwin's team battled to a 1-0 win over Ross County.

DEF – Tam O’Brien (Arbroath)

O'Brien was back in the starting XI and back to his best as Arbroath took a significant step toward the William Hill League 1 title with a 1-0 victory over fellow challengers Cove Rangers. This result, combined with Stenhousemuir's loss, puts them eight points clear at the top of the table with five games to play.

DEF – Max Kilsby (Annan Athletic)

Annan Athletic ensured that the battle to avoid ninth place in William Hill League 1 looks set to go down to the wire. Kilsby got the equaliser and excelled at the back as Wullie Gibson's team gained a 2-1 triumph over Kelty Hearts.

MID – Martin Rennie (Clyde)

An incredible finish to the match at Stair Park, where Rennie netted twice to give Clyde a huge lift in their bid to remain in William Hill League 2. They were behind to Stranraer before Rennie's wonderful free-kick helped inspire a comeback win at Stair Park.

MID – Callum McGregor (Celtic)

McGregor returned to the Celtic team for the 3-0 victory over Hearts and proved to be a key influence on proceedings, including setting up the opening goal for Daizen Maeda.

MID – Caolan Boyd-Munce (St Mirren)

Two goals, both from distance, and an aggressive display in midfield helped St Mirren to the most eye-catching result of the SPFL weekend as the Buddies put five goals past Kilmarnock in Paisley. Boyd-Munce's form has helped the Buddies remain right in contention for the William Hill Premiership top six and he's this week's Star Man.

MID – Michael McKenna (East Fife)

East Fife's William Hill League 2 title challenge remains alive and kicking after they came from behind to beat The Spartans 4-2. The result leaves Dick Campbell's men one point behind Peterhead after their 0-0 with Forfar Athletic. McKenna impressed in a deeper role in the first half before being pushed forward and bursting into life in the second half and grabbing an equaliser.

MID – Dylan Easton (Raith Rovers)

Raith Rovers retain hopes of a play-off place following a routine 3-0 win away to Hamilton Accies. Easton started the scoring and was his side's best performer on the day.

FWD – Kevin Nisbet (Aberdeen)

Two goals, including an outrageous second, from the striker confirmed Aberdeen's spot in the top six. The 4-1 win over Motherwell keeps Jimmy Thelin's team right on the heels of Hibernian in the race for third place.

FWD – Robbie Muirhead (Livingston)

Livingston produced a dominant display to defeat Queen's Park 5-0 in the SPFL Trust Trophy Final. Muirhead netted a brilliant opener and added an assist to his man of the match display at The Falkirk Stadium.
