Alan Archibald donned his boots for the first time since becoming Jags gaffer a year ago when he featured as an overage player in an U20 game on Tuesday night.
The 36-year-old had not played since a First Division game last January but loaning Liam Lindsay to Alloa and Darren Brownlie to Cowdenbeath has left the Firhill squad stretched and he opted to take to the field.
The game ended 2-2, with recent loan recruit from West Ham, George Moncur, scoring Thistle’s second goal.
