Aberdeen and Hibernian enjoy big wins in the Europa Conference League

Aberdeen thrashed BK Hacken 5-1 at Pittodrie in the first leg of their Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie.

Andrew Considine opened the scoring and a double from Lewis Ferguson, one from the penalty spot, had the Dons in command against their Swedish opponents. New signing Christian Ramirez grabbed the fourth goal and Connor McLennan netted the fifth in stoppage time.

Hibernian defeated Santa Coloma of Andorra 3-0 at Easter Road. Martin Boyle scored a double, one a penalty, and Kevin Nisbet rounded things off. Hibs had Joe Newell sent off in the first half but the visitors finished with nine men after two red cards in the second period.

Both second legs take place next Thursday, July 29.
