Thursday review

Round-up of this evening's European ties, with wins for Celtic and Aberdeen and draws for St Johnstone and Hibernian

Cup double winners St Johnstone earned a 1-1 draw with Galatasaray in the first leg of their Europa League third qualifying round tie in Turkey.

Jason Kerr's 58th-minute spot-kick had Saints on course for a famous win but the home side, who had keeper Fernando Muslera sent off for conceding the penalty, equalised soon after.

Celtic took a big step towards the Europa League play-offs with a 4-2 win over Jablonec in the Czech Republic. Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi, James Forrest and Ryan Christie were all on target for the Parkhead club.

In the Europa Conference League, Hibernian drew 1-1 with Rijeka of Croatia - Martin Boyle got the goal for Jack Ross' side after the visitors had gone ahead.

Aberdeen were 3-2 winners against Breidablik in Iceland. Christian Ramirez grabbed a double for the Dons and Lewis Ferguson was also on the mark.
