Dunfermline Athletic and Raith Rovers drew 0-0 in the first leg of the Premiership play-off quarter-final at East End Park, with the return match at Stark's Park on Saturday.

On a dramatic night in League 1, Montrose beat champions Partick Thistle 3-2 at Links Park to clinch a play-off place at the expense of Falkirk, who conceded two goals in the closing minutes in a 2-0 defeat at Airdrieonians to drop to fifth in the table.

Dumbarton struck in injury time to beat Peterhead 3-2 at the C&G Systems Stadium to move out of the relegation zone as Clyde - who complete their fixtures on Thursday - dropped to ninth place. East Fife defeated relegated Forfar Athletic 3-2 at Station Park.

League 2 top scorer Kane Hester hit a hat-trick as Elgin City beat champions Queen's Park 3-2 at Borough Briggs to seal a play-off spot and Stranraer also made it with a 2-1 home win against Edinburgh City. Stirling Albion missed out despite having been in the top four for most of the season.

In the lower half of the table, Cowdenbeath were 2-0 winners against Albion Rovers at Central Park and Stenhousemuir beat bottom club Brechin City 1-0 at Glebe Park.

In the first leg of the pyramid play-off, Kelty Hearts defeated Brora Rangers 2-0 at Dudgeon Park, with the second leg at New Central Park on Saturday.
