Matthew Cooper scored a stoppage-time winner as Elgin City beat Hibernian Colts 4-3 at Easter Road while SPFL newcomers Cove Rangers saw off St Johnstone Colts 4-1 at McDiarmid Park.
Celtic Colts defeated Queen's Park on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Airdrie and Rangers Colts were 2-1 winners away to Berwick Rangers. Hearts Colts enjoyed a 4-1 victory against Albion Rovers in Coatbridge and St Mirren Colts knocked out East Kilbride 1-0 in Paisley.
Kelty Hearts defeated Kilmarnock Colts 4-0 at New Central Park and Brora Rangers beat Aberdeen Colts 6-0 at Dudgeon Park. Formartine United were 3-1 winners away to Livingston Colts while Ross County Colts won 3-2 at Fraserburgh.
