Dundee United defeated Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0 in the Highland capital on Friday night to move above Raith Rovers on goal difference in the cinch Championship title race.
A game of few clear-cut chances looked destined to end in a draw until three minutes from time when Tony Watt scored from close range after being set up by Glenn Middleton.
The result leaves Caley Thistle in seventh place in the table while Raith Rovers will have the chance to move back to the summit on Saturday when they host Queen's Park.
