Dundee United today unveiled new signing Farid El Alagui, who this week joined the club on loan from English League 1 leaders Brentford until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old Frenchman was a prolific scorer with Falkirk before moving to Griffin Park in the summer of 2012 and Tannadice boss Jackie McNamara is delighted to have him on board.
He told the club website: "This is the ideal time for us to bring in Farid. He scores goals, has strong aerial ability and will hold the ball up and allow his fellow attackers to get involved.
"We have moved quickly to secure him because there was interest from other clubs and I am delighted to sign him."
