Dundee United notched up their third Premiership win on the trot, beating Hibernian 3-1 at Easter Road on Friday night to move up to fourth place in the table.
Jackie McNamara's men could afford to miss two penalties and Hibs ended the game with 10 men after Tom Taiwo was sent off for a second yellow card with 20 minutes left.
Nadir Ciftci's weak spot-kick was easily saved by Ben Williams midway through the first period but the Turkish striker gave United the lead two minutes before half-time, only for defender Jordan Forster to equalise right on the interval for Terry Butcher's team.
Gavin Gunning restored United's advantage and Gary Mackay-Steven blazed a penalty over the bar before substitute Farid El Alagui sealed the win in the closing stages.
