Raith Rovers are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Head of Youth Development.

Raith Rovers are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Head of Youth Development.

Raith are offering an exciting and challenging opportunity for a suitably qualified person to join a professional football club, currently operating at Ladbrokes Championship level, that is ambitious and keen to develop its own talented young players into young professionals able to take the step into first team football.

This is a permanent full time position that will suit a highly motivated coach, already holding the UEFA Elite Youth ‘A’ Licence, and seeking to further their career by assuming direct responsibility for the development of young players, including key involvement in (1) selecting young men to graduate to Raith Rovers from Fife Elite Football Academy and elsewhere and (2) maximising their potential by progressing their careers as apprentice professionals so that they become well equipped to make the further transition into the first team squad via the Under 20 Development team which plays in the SPFL Development League East.

The successful applicant will work closely with the football management team, training at the same venue as, and alongside, the first team squad. Candidates must be team players but importantly they will also need to provide evidence of strong leadership and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate a successful track record in terms of selection and development of elite level youth players.

Based mainly at Rovers’ state of the art training base at Glenrothes and at Stark’s Park, Kirkcaldy, the candidate should hold a full driving licence and have access to their own private transport (although mileage allowance will be provided). The successful candidate will also be able to work flexibly and at irregular hours in order to give this important job the level of commitment it needs if it is to succeed.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, please send the club your up to date CV, together with a covering email, telling them why you are the right person for the job to [email protected]

Closing Date for Applications: Wednesday 1st June, 2016
