Walker joins East Stirling

Morton's Mr Versatile reunited with former manager

Alex WalkerEast Stirling’s head coach Jim McInally has returned to his former club Morton to make his first signing of the summer by snapping up former versatile Rangers, Clyde and Cappielow man Alex Walker.

The 26 year old had a spell on loan at Brechin last season and McInally was delighted to get his man saying, “Given the circumstances we find ourselves in, I thought Alex would be a player that would be out of our reach but that was not the case. He now has a job outside of football and just wants to be playing again. Alex is a versatile player that can fill any number of roles in defence and midfield.”

Walker said teaming up with McInally clinched the deal advising, “I know Jim well from his time at Morton and I enjoyed it there when he was the manager.
