Celtic see off Saints, Killie hit back to beat Rangers

Celtic have a one-point lead at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership after a comfortable 4-0 win over St Mirren thanks to an Oliver Burke double, a Scott Sinclair penalty and a late Timothy Weah effort.

Kilmarnock moved up to second spot after coming from behind to beat Rangers 2-1 at Rugby Park. Jermain Defoe netted a debut goal for the visitors but Eamonn Brophy equalised and Jordan Jones fired home the winner midway through the second half.

In-form striker Sam Cosgrove grabbed a double as Aberdeen ran out 3-0 winners away to Hamilton Accies to stay just three points off the top while David Turnbull claimed the only goal as Motherwell defeated Hibernian 1-0 at Fir Park.

Andrew Nelson was the matchwinner as Dundee moved off the foot of the table with a 2-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle and Murray Davidson's goal earned St Johnstone a 1-0 win against Livingston at McDiarmid Park as Tommy Wright's team climbed to fifth.
