Ladbrokes Premiership

Wednesday round-up

A review of this evening's games in the Ladbrokes Premiership...

Celtic took another step towards retaining the Ladbrokes Premiership title with a 2-0 win over St Mirren in Paisley. Timothy Weah's first-half goal and a late Ryan Christie effort means Neil Lennon's men require just six more points to be crowned champions.

Second-placed Rangers saw off Heart of Midlothian 3-0 at Ibrox with goals from Jermain Defoe, Connor Goldson and Scott Arfield.

Aberdeen defeated Motherwell 3-1 at Pittodrie with a goal from Max Lowe then a Niall McGinn double after a Jake Hastie equaliser, while Hibernian secured their top-six place with a 0-0 Easter Road draw against Kilmarnock.

Ryan Hardie and Craig Halkett got the goals as Livingston made sure of Premiership football again next season by beating Hamilton Accies 2-0 at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Callum Hendry and Matty Kennedy were on target as St Johnstone beat bottom club Dundee 2-0 in the Tayside derby at McDiarmid Park.
