William Hill Premiership

Premiership round-up

The Ladbrokes Premiership resumed this evening after the winter break, with all 12 clubs in action...

Celtic remain two points clear at the top of the table thanks to a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park, with goals from Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths and Christopher Jullien. Nicke Kabamba replied for Killie, who are now five points outside the top six.

Rangers, who have a game in hand on Celtic, defeated St Mirren 1-0 at Ibrox with a first-half goal from Jermain Defoe while Liam Donnelly grabbed the only goal just before the break as Motherwell beat Aberdeen 1-0 at Pittodrie to strengthen their grip on third place.

Scott Pittman netted the winner as Livingston stayed in fifth spot with a 1-0 home victory over St Johnstone while Hibernian hit back to edge out Hamilton Accies 2-1 at Easter Road. Christian Doidge and Paul Hanlon were on target after Alex Gogic had given the visitors a half-time lead.

Hearts are four points adrift at the foot of the table after a 0-0 draw with Ross County at the Global Energy Stadium.
