There’s another big weekend of football coming up in the SPFL – here are four matches to look out for…
Partick Thistle v Kilmarnock - Ladbrokes Premiership
Thistle slipped to the foot of the table after losing heavily to Ross County on Tuesday night and now face in-form Kilmarnock at The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill in their final fixture before the split. Both County - who host Hibernian - and the Jags are five points behind Dundee and Hamilton Accies.
Brechin City v St Mirren - Ladbrokes Championship
St Mirren could clinch the title at Glebe Park on Saturday. A win for Jack Ross's side against relegated Brechin, and anything other than a victory for Livingston at home to Morton, would seal a top-flight return for the Buddies, just 12 months after they narrowly avoided a relegation play-off.
Arbroath v Raith Rovers - Ladbrokes League 1
Leaders Ayr United are away to Airdrieonians and Rovers are aiming to keep up the pressure as the title race enters the final straight. Barry Smith's men are three points behind the Honest Men and also have an inferior goal difference. Arbroath look almost certain to be involved in the play-offs but will be looking to bounce back from losing to Alloa last week.
Stirling Albion v Montrose - Ladbrokes League 2
Montrose are second in the table, behind leaders Peterhead on goal difference, but have a game in hand away to bottom club Cowdenbeath on Tuesday. Stewart Petrie's side won at Forthbank just before Christmas and were 3-0 winners against Edinburgh City last weekend. The Binos are in third spot and looking good for the play-offs but went down 3-0 at Elgin on Saturday.
