@splstats looks at some of the numbers behind the weekend games:
1 Inverness Caledonian Thistle's 3-2 victory over Celtic on Sunday secured their place in their first ever Scottish Cup final. The Caley Jags are the 34th different side to reach a final, and will be looking to match last season's winners St Johnstone by winning it at the first time of asking. Their hero was right-back David Raven, who scored just his second goal for the club in 112 appearances – he's a man for the big occasion, because the other came in a 3-0 Highland derby win last February.
58 Craig Sibbald's goal helped Falkirk defeat Hibernian 1-0 to qualify for their fifth Scottish Cup final. The Bairns last made the final back in 2009, but their last success came 58 years ago when they defeated Kilmarnock after a replay. Peter Houston's side remain unbeaten against Alan Stubbs' men this season, picking up three wins and a draw in their four meetings. The Bairns' victory was their first ever win over Hibs in the Scottish Cup – they had previously been drawn against them on eight occasions and had lost all eight.
30 Aberdeen sealed their place in European competition next season with a 1-0 victory over Dundee United at Pittodrie. It will be the Dons' 30th season in Europe – only Rangers and Celtic have represented Scotland more often. The identity of the competition remains undecided – Saturday's win took them to within five points of Celtic at the top of the table, thus keeping their Champions League hopes alive. The victory continued Derek McInnes' side's superb form at Pittodrie – they are now unbeaten in 10 home matches, picking up eight wins and two draws, and keeping eight clean sheets.
6 The topsy-turvy League 1 title race continued on Saturday as Stranraer moved back to the top of the table with a 3-2 victory over Stenhousemuir at Stair Park. Stephen Aitken's side have now recorded six consecutive home league wins – the last time they managed that was the last time they won a league title, back in 2003/04. Amazingly, given the positions of the sides in the league table, this was the Blues' first victory over the Warriors this season – they had taken just one point from three previous meetings.
3 Albion Rovers secured the League 2 title after coming from 2-0 down to beat Clyde 3-2 at Broadwood on Saturday. It is just the third time in their history that the Coatbridge side have won a league title. All of these titles have come in divisions containing the number “Two”, but oddly enough they have all been in different tiers of the Scottish football pyramid. They won the “old old” Division Two (second tier) in 1933/34, the “old” Division Two (third tier) in 1988/89, and now League 2 (fourth tier) this season.
