The 21 SPFL games played between Friday and Sunday produced six home wins, seven away wins and eight draws, with 63 goals scored.
@splstats takes a more detailed look at some of the numbers behind the weekend matches...
1 – Dundee United's 4-1 win over Dundee means they sit proudly atop the Scottish Premiership table. The Terrors have not led the top flight this far into a season since 1990/91, a campaign where they made an identical start (P7 W5 D1 L1). Jim McLean's side would remain top until week 14 of the season, when Aberdeen leapfrogged them with a 3-2 win at Tannadice. United finished the season in fourth place, 14 points behind champions Rangers.
7 – Ross County's defeat on Saturday means they are the first side to lose their opening seven games of a top-flight season since Aberdeen in 1999/00. Next week, against Dundee, they will be looking to avoid becoming just the fifth side in the history of the top flight to start a season with eight or more defeats. Hibs (1960/61) were the most recent team to do so – they lost their first eight matches before bouncing back to eventually finish eighth out of 18. Partick Thistle (1898/99) also lost their first eight fixtures, while Vale of Leven (1891/92) lost nine in a row. The worst ever start to a top-flight season was that of Clyde in 1899/00 - they lost their first 11 matches and unsurprisingly went on to finish bottom of the league.
77 – Hamilton Academical drew 0-0 with Kilmarnock on Saturday, ending a run of 77 matches without a goalless draw at New Douglas Park. Their previous 0-0 draw came against St Johnstone in the SPL in March 2011. That pales into insignificance compared to Elgin City, who extended their run to 185 matches without a 0-0 draw at Borough Briggs. The Black and Whites are closing in on a decade without a goalless draw at home – their last one came in August 2005.
8 – Hibernian’s 1-0 reverse to Queen of the South at Palmerston was their eighth consecutive away league defeat (excluding play-offs). This represents their worst run since they lost a club record 18 in a row between April 1979 to April 1980. The last time the Edinburgh side picked up a point on the road came in a 0-0 draw against Inverness in March, and they haven't won away from home in the league since beating Ross County on Boxing Day.
5 – Clyde's 5-2 defeat at home to Arbroath was the first time they had conceded five goals at Broadwood since a 5-0 loss to Celtic in the Scottish Cup in February 2005. They hadn’t conceded five or more goals in a home league match since losing 6-1 to Inverness in March 1998. The Red Lichties scored five times away from home in the league for the first time since beating East Stirlingshire 5-2 in March 2011.
