5 – Celtic are just five wins away from the Ladbrokes Premiership title following their 5-0 victory over St Mirren at Celtic Park. Neil Lennon’s have hit five or more goals on eight occasions this season and have scored 142 in total in all competitions. Leigh Griffiths took the match ball home on Saturday – it was his first hat-trick since January 2016 when he scored three in an 8-1 win over Hamilton Accies. In all, Griffiths has scored five hat-tricks for Celtic – he is just the third person to reach that tally in the last 30 years, the others being John Hartson (5) and Henrik Larsson (15).

8 – Aberdeen defeated Hibernian 3-1 at Pittodrie to move to within one point of Motherwell in the race for third place in the Ladbrokes Premiership. Derek McInnes’ side ended a run of five home matches without a win and scored three goals in a game at Pittodrie for the first time since they defeated Kilmarnock 3-0 in November. The Dons are now unbeaten in their last eight home matches against Hibs, picking up five wins and three draws. “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen was UK No 1 the last time Hibs picked up a victory in Aberdeen – that was back in May 2012.

19 – Alloa Athletic defeated Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2-0 at the Indodrill Stadium to move three points clear of the relegation zone in the Ladbrokes Championship. Peter Grant’s side have lost just one of their last 10 league matches – they have picked up four wins and five draws, with their only defeat coming at home to Ayr United last weekend. Saturday’s success was the Wasps’ first league win over the Caley Jags since 1997, when David Pew scored the only goal for Tom Hendrie’s side in the Third Division. Since then, the sides have met 19 times in the league with 10 Inverness wins and nine draws.

5 – Falkirk kept up the pressure in the Ladbrokes League 1 title race with a 3-0 victory over Peterhead at the Falkirk Stadium. Co-manager Lee Miller scored his first goal of his third spell with the club before top scorer Declan McManus rounded the victory off with a double. The Bairns have recorded five consecutive home wins in the league for the first time since October-December 2015. They haven’t conceded a single goal in those matches – the last time they kept five home clean sheets in a row in the league was way back in 1989.

5 – Elgin City defeated Stirling Albion 3-1 at Borough Briggs to climb into the final play-off spot in Ladbrokes League 2. Gavin Price’s side have won five of their last six league matches to propel themselves into the top four with just nine matches remaining. This will be the Black and Whites’ 20th season since joining the Scottish Football League and they have yet to be promoted out of the fourth tier – they will be hoping this could still be their year.
