18 – Aberdeen moved level on points with Celtic in the Premiership table thanks to a 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock at the BBSP Stadium, Rugby Park on Sunday. The Dons have now gone an incredible 18 matches in all competitions without defeat at Rugby Park, a run which stretches all the way back to May 2012. Killie’s last home win over the Dons was in December 2011 – since then they have lost 14 and drawn four. Derek McInnes’ side have lost just one of their last 11 Premiership matches – that was against Rangers last month.
11 – St Mirren came from behind to defeat St Johnstone 3-2 at the SMISA Stadium and climb to eighth in the Premiership table. Jim Goodwin’s side are now unbeaten in 11 matches in all competitions – they have picked up seven wins and four draws since losing to Aberdeen in early October. This is Saints’ longest unbeaten run since they went 12 without defeat under Gus MacPherson from March-July 2005.
1 – Arbroath beat Ayr United 2-1 at Gayfield to climb off the foot of the Championship table. James Craigen scored both goals for the Red Lichties – he had previously gone over two years without scoring, with his most recent strike coming for Dunfermline Athletic against Morton in 2018. The only previous double scored by Craigen in Scottish football was way back in December 2012, when he netted twice for Forfar Athletic in their 3-2 win away to Albion Rovers. It ends Arbroath’s run of six home matches without a victory over Ayr – their previous win over the Honest Men at Gayfield came in August 2012.
0 – Peterhead climbed to sixth place in League 1 thanks to a 1-0 victory over Partick Thistle at Firhill. Scott Brown scored the only goal of the game for Jim McInally’s side to hand them their second consecutive league win. The Blue Toon have still never lost to the Jags in the league; in five meetings they have picked up four wins and a draw, including three wins out of three in Glasgow. Thistle did, though, beat the Blue Toon in the 2005/06 play-offs.
4 – Stranraer thumped Albion Rovers at Stair Park 4-0 to climb to fourth place in the League 2 table. Stevie Farrell’s side are now unbeaten in six league matches – they have picked up four wins and two draws following a shaky start to the campaign. Saturday’s success was the Blues’ biggest winning margin in over three years – the last time they won by four or more goals was a 4-0 victory away to Albion Rovers in September 2017.
