@splstats looks at some of the numbers behind the weekend games:

7 Dundee United’s victory over Aberdeen in Saturday's semi-final sealed a place in their seventh League Cup final, and their first for seven seasons. The Terrors won their first two League Cup finals, in 1979/80 and 1980/81, but have suffered defeat in four since then, including one against this season's opponents Celtic in 1997/98. United have reached the Scottish Cup and League Cup finals consecutively for the first time since 1984/85, but will be hoping they don't emulate that season by losing both.

85 Celtic's 2-0 victory over Rangers on Sunday took them into their 85th major domestic cup final (55 Scottish Cup & 30 League Cup), drawing them level with Rangers (51 Scottish Cup & 34 League Cup). However, they have some way to go to equal their Glasgow rivals in terms of winning those finals – they have 50 successes compared to Rangers' 60. The final will pit the Parkhead side against Dundee United – Celtic have won all five previous cup finals against the Tannadice club.

7 Martin Canning found the net for Hamilton Accies in their 1-1 draw with Dundee on Saturday, becoming the first player-manager to score in the Scottish top flight in over seven years. The last man to do so was Craig Brewster, who netted a last-minute winner for Inverness CT in their 2-1 victory over Hearts at the Caledonian Stadium in September 2007.

5 Queen of the South moved back into the Championship play-off places with a 5-0 win over Cowdenbeath at Central Park. It was the Doonhamers' biggest away win in the second tier since September 1974, when “Kung Fu Fighting” by Carl Douglas was UK No 1. On that day, they defeated St Mirren 5-0 at Love Street, thanks to an Ian Reid hat-trick and two goals from Jocky Dempster.

14 Brechin City extended their lengthy unbeaten run courtesy of a 1-1 draw with Airdrieonians at the Excelsior Stadium on Saturday. Ray McKinnon's side have now gone 14 matches without defeat in all competitions, leaving them just one short of the club's all-time record of 15. City will face a tough task if they wish to equal that record – their next game is a Scottish Cup fifth-round tie away to Falkirk.

4 Albion Rovers defeated Queen's Park 2-1 at Cliftonhill to move level on points with Arbroath at the top of League 2. Rovers have won four consecutive league matches for the first time since October-November 2011, and have picked up six wins and a draw in their last seven league games. Darren Young's side are unbeaten in their last seven league matches at Cliftonhill, and have lost just one home league match all season.
