Weekend preview

The action gets under way with the Dundee derby on Friday night...

Celtic go into the weekend top of the Ladbrokes Premiership and having reached the last 32 of the Europa League with a memorable win away to Lazio. The Hoops are at home to Motherwell on Sunday, kick-off 3.00pm. At the same time Rangers, having beaten Porto on Thursday, play Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena, live on Sky Sports.

There are four games on Saturday, including the Tynecastle meeting of Hearts and St Mirren - both clubs are on eight points at the foot of the table. Hibernian will have Eddie May in caretaker charge for the trip to St Johnstone while Ross County welcome Aberdeen to the Global Energy Stadium and Kilmarnock are at home to Hamilton Accies.

There's a huge game at the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park tonight as the Dark Blues host rivals and Ladbrokes Championship leaders Dundee United, live on BT Sport. Second-placed Ayr United travel to Queen of the South in one of four Saturday fixtures while Inverness CT, in fourth, go to Arbroath. Alloa Athletic host Dunfermline Athletic and bottom club Partick Thistle - who have lost all five home games - play Morton at the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill.

Falkirk have a one-point lead in Ladbrokes League 1 as they prepare to welcome Airdrieonians to the Falkirk Stadium. The Diamonds are in fourth place, just two points off the top, and have won four of their five away matches. Second-placed Raith Rovers are at home to Stranraer and East Fife, in third, travel to Dumbarton. Montrose are on a run of five straight league wins ahead of their Links Park clash with local rivals Forfar Athletic, who have Barry Smith in temporary charge after the departure of Jim Weir.

Cove Rangers are three points clear in Ladbrokes League 2 and are looking to maintain their 100% home record when they face Stirling Albion at the Balmoral Stadium. Second-placed Edinburgh City are up against in-form Elgin City at Ainslie Park and Cowdenbeath, in third, travel to Galabank to play Annan Athletic. Albion Rovers are at home to Stenhousemuir and Queen's Park, who are yet to win at Hampden, entertain bottom club Brechin City.
