Winger McLaren heads for Bo'ness

Wide-man swaps sides in the junior game

Maverick winger Willie McLaren has opted to join East Region junior side Bo’ness after a short stint with Irvine Meadow.

The 29-year-old started as a youth player at Hamilton before joining Airdrie and he then moved onto St. Johnstone, Clyde and Queen of the South before re- joining the Accies in May 2011.

McLaren moved back to the Diamonds in January 2012 before heading to Irvine earlier this year.

Bo’ness boss Allan McGonigal said: “I am delighted to bring Willie is as he is very experienced player and one that will excite our fans.”
