Alloa Athletic closed the gap on leaders Livingston to nine points with a 2-1 win over Airdrieonians at the Indodrill Stadium

Alloa Athletic closed the gap on leaders Livingston to nine points with a 2-1 win over Airdrieonians at the Indodrill Stadium.

All the goals came in the first half, with Iain Russell pulling one back after Andy Graham had scored twice for the Wasps.

East Fife extended their unbeaten league run to 10 games with a 1-1 draw at Peterhead. Kevin Smith opened the scoring but Jordon Brown earned the Blue Toon a point.

Second-bottom Stranraer claimed an important 2-0 home win over Brechin City, with goals from Willie Gibson and Craig Malcolm.

The games between Albion Rovers and Queen's Park and Livingston and Stenhousemuir were both postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
