Celtic stretched their advantage at the top of the Scottish Premiership to 18 points with a 4-0 home win over Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.

Joe Ledley opened the scoring and a Lee Ashcroft own goal increased the lead before half-time. Charlie Mulgrew and Amido Balde netted after the break as Fraser Forster notched up a 10th straight SPFL shut-out.

Hearts came from behind to beat St Mirren 2-1 at Tynecastle after Steven Thompson had scored for Saints in just 30 seconds.

Callum Paterson quickly equalised and Jamie Hamill won it with a 52nd-minute penalty after Marc McAusland was sent off for a foul on Dale Carrick.
