Prince Buaben and Arnaud Djoum got the goals in the first half for Robbie Neilson's side as they continued their good recent run.

Third-placed Aberdeen got back on track with a 2-0 victory against Dundee United at Pittodrie with second-half goals from Adam Rooney and Jonny Hayes.

St Johnstone, in fourth, came from behind to beat Kilmarnock 2-1 at McDiarmid Park. Steven Smith gave Killie an early lead but Michael O'Halloran and Chris Kane earned Saints all three points despite a red card for Liam Craig late on.

Inverness CT ran out 3-1 winners against Motherwell at Fir Park with goals from Greg Tansey (penalty), Miles Storey and Iain Vigurs. Louis Moult scored for Well, who had Stephen McManus sent off in stoppage time.

Partick Thistle led for most of the match at Dens Park thanks to a Liam Lindsay goal but Kane Hemmings earned Dundee a point in a 1-1 draw.
