Morton’s new signing Derek Young is free to make his debut in this Saturday’s encounter with Ayr United after International clearance from his spell in Icelandic football was received at Hampden on Friday.
That allowed the one match ban the 31-year-old midfielder carried over from his Pittodrie days to be served in last Saturday’s 2-0 defeat from Ross County and Cappielow boss Allan Moore said, “Derek comes straight into my thoughts for playing in the game against Ayr. After a disappointing run recently I may need to freshen things up and Derek will help me do that.”
