Stranraer midfielder Chris Aitken will miss out against Rangers on Boxing Day at Ibrox however his daughter Lucy will be involved on the pitch.
Aitken picked up an ankle injury in last Saturday’s 3-0 win over Brechin City and has been ruled out for several weeks, however Lucy will still be the Blues’ match mascot for the game against the Light Blues.
Stair Park boss Stephen Aitken, who is Chris’ brother and Lucy’s uncle, said: “Chris will miss out which is disappointing for him and us as he has been playing well. We are looking at things positively as his injury is not as bad as first feared.”
“We have a lot of family going to the game so at least they will see one Aitken on the field.”
