Giovanni van Bronckhorst's team knocked out Union St Gilloise and PSV Eindhoven in the qualifying rounds to reach this stage of the competition.
The Ibrox club will also face Napoli and Liverpool - who meet in Italy in the later game tonight - in Group A between now and the first midweek in November.
Meanwhile, Celtic lost 3-0 to Real Madrid in their Group F opener at Parkhead on Tuesday night, with the holders scoring all their goals in the second half.
