Albion Rovers manager James Ward is attempting to bring a Championship striker to Coatbridge for next season.
The Cliftonhill boss said: “I have had very encouraging talks with a player who is a consistent goalscorer in the Championship. His signing would be a big coup for us and he was excited by the plans we have for Albion Rovers.
“We are discussing money now and hopefully we can come up with a deal that clinches his signature.”
