The 23-year-old former Largs Thistle player, who was with Morton as a youngster, joins the Wasps after a spell with Queen's Park.
Grant told the Alloa website: "We believe Nicky will be an asset to the squad - having played at different levels in the game he has shown he has a desire and hunger to keep improving."
