Annan defender Steven Black missed out against Clyde at the weekend after being floored by a virus that saw him end up in hospital.
The 21-year old former Queen of the South player complained of feeling unwell during Thursday’s training session and his condition worsened to such an extent that he visited his local Accident and Emergency department.
Manager Jim Chapman said: “Steven took ill quite quickly and we thought it was best for him to get seen to straight away. It has been put down to a virus but he was not considered for the Clyde game.
“We will get him checked out before he is added to our squad for East Stirling this Saturday.”
