Arbroath player/manager Paul Sheerin has brought defender Jonny Lindsay back to the club just four weeks after telling him he could leave.
The 21-year-old former St Johnstone and Partick Thistle man joined the Gayfield side at the start of last season after a spell at Stalybridge Celtic but made only 10 appearances due to the form of Colin Hamilton.
Sheerin opted to offload Lindsay after his side were relegated to League 2 but, with Hamilton joining Brechin, the Gayfield boss has been honest enough to admit he made a mistake
The Red Lichties boss said: “I was a bit rash when I released Jonny last month. I got back in touch with him and asked him if he fancied coming back - thankfully he did.”
