Arbroath extend Linn stay and bring in Wood

Gayfield boss keeps hold of striker and recruits shot-stopper

Arbroath manager Paul Sheerin has agreed to extend the stay of striker Bobby Linn at the club for another 2 years after a fine first 6 months from the 28 year old in maroon colours.

Linn, who started his career at Dundee and also played for Peterhead, Morton and East Fife joined the Gayfield side last summer after spending a year in the junior ranks with Ballingry Rovers.

Sheerin said: “Bobby has worked really hard since he came back to the senior game and I am delighted that he is staying with us for longer. He was terrific in our 2-1 win over Stenhousemuir last weekend and hopefully he will carry on in that form for the next couple of seasons.”

Sheerin has also brought in goalkeeper Sandy Wood from Angus neighbours Montrose as cover for Scott Morrison on a deal until the end of the season.
